Description
De Basisregistratie Grootschalige Topografie (BGT) is een topografisch objectenbestand dat voor heel Nederland uniform is wat betreft inhoud en kwaliteit. Dat betekent dat het bestand gebiedsdekkend is en voldoet aan beschreven kwaliteitsaspecten voor volledigheid, actualiteit en nauwkeurigheid. De BGT is bedoeld voor gebruik op een schaal van 1:500 tot 1:5.000. Het gaat over topografische objecten, zoals gebouwen, wegen, spoorwegen, waterlopen, parken en bossen.
De inhoud van de BGT is afgestemd op de gezamenlijke informatiebehoefte van de verschillende gebruikers van het bestand. Een belangrijk uitgangspunt hierbij is dat sprake moet zijn van meervoudig gebruik. Het gaat hierbij zowel om de bronhouders (gemeenten, waterschappen, provincies, Ministerie van EZ, Ministerie van Defensie, Rijkswaterstaat en Prorail), als om andere Gegevenscatalogus Basisregistratie Grootschalige Topografie, Deel I: verplichte deel -8- gebruikers en basisregistraties in het stelsel. Gebruikers kunnen na het gereedkomen van de BGT via de Landelijke Voorziening BGT-informatie opvragen en downloaden. Een belangrijk onderdeel van het ontwerp van de BGT is de gegevenscatalogus. Bij het opstellen ervan is zoveel mogelijk rekening gehouden met de actuele richtlijnen voor de Europese richtlijn INSPIRE, het Basismodel Geo-informatie (NEN 3610) en de stelselcatalogus voor basisregistraties.
