Health expenditure; revenues of health care financing schemes
Dataset
Description
This table contains information on the different types of revenues of health care financing schemes. In this table, health and care expenditure in current prices by type of financing scheme (like the Health insurance act) is broken down to the different kinds of revenues, like the income dependent social contribution for the basic health insurance. The classifications used are from the System of Health Accounts (SHA), from Eurostat, the World Health Organization (WHO) and from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Data available from: 1998
Status of the figures: The figures for 2021 and 2022 are revised provisional. The figures for the other years are final.
Changes as of 23 May 2024: Definite figures for 2020 and revised provisional figures for 2021 and 2022 are published.
When will new figures be published? Currently, the figures on health expenditure are under revision. New sources and statistical techniques will be incorporated in the revised figures. Updated figures for 2021 and 2022, and provisional figures for 2023 will be published in the fourth quarter of 2024. Figures on 1998-2020 will be published in 2025.
