Description

This table comprises data on monthly revenue, expenditure and the social security funds balance sheet. The data are directly retrieved from the accounting administration of the relevant government institutions. The figures are presented on a cash basis, and refer to the moment of payment as the criterion for the booking. Figures presented here are not directly comparable to the publications on National Accounts. Publication of this table meets the requirements as laid down in the Directive EU 2011/85, part of the Enhanced Economic Governance package ('Sixpack') adopted by the European Council in 2011. In 2024 Directive EU 2024/1265 was adopted by the European Council. With that, the publication requirements of EU Directive 2011/85 have been changed. Statistics Netherlands has therefore decided to discontinue this publication as of reporting period June 2024.

Status of the figures: Figures for April, May and June 2024 are provisional. Figures for 2023, January, February and March 2024 are revised provisional and figures for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 are final. Because this table is discontinued, figures will not be updated anymore.
